20m³ OFFLINE - FLUORINATION
Fluorination of plastic surfaces with reactive gases for permeation reduction
The technology used is suitable for treating surfaces of plastic fuel tanks (PFT) with the help of fluorine gas mixture (10% F2/N2) and changing the surface properties in such a way that a desired reduction of permeation of fuels from the PFT into the environment and thus the emission of fuel vapors is significantly reduced.

The fluorination plant consists of the following components:
- A treatment chamber (20m3), into which the plastic material to be fluorinated can be placed in material baskets/boxes suitable for this purpose,
- A bundling station for fluorine-nitrogen mixtures Bottle bundles of 12x50 liters for 10% F2/N2 at 150 bar and 20% F2/N2 mixtures at 100 bar,
- Amature panel for nitrogen supply of the process flow,
- Vacuum pumping station in a container, for conditioning and disposal of the treatment chamber
- Heating system for temperature control of the treatment chamber
- Control cabinet with a programmable logic controller S7/ WIN CC7
- Operator control station for process monitoring, process parameter setting and the visualized plant picture, as well as the trend control, the error message system, the protocol output,
- Al2O3 absorber (silo)
